SYNOPSIS: UNSEALING JANE DOE
Artist, public speaker and adoptee Marnie Goodfriend discovers that her birth certificate is sealed and the 1974 adoption was handled by a New York attorney known as the "Kingpin of Baby Brokers". In 1978, he was indicted on 192 counts including purgery, conspiracy and receiving illegal compensation for unlawfully placing out a child for adoption. He was found not guilty but has subsequently been disbarred from three states.
By interviewing her adoptive family, friends, birth parents and adoptees who's adoptions were orchaestrated by the same man, UNSEALING JANE DOE is one adoptee's attempt to unseal her past while connecting others to what should be every adoptee's birth right - the right to your history.
